At PQA, we offer a dynamic blend of acting, dancing, and singing classes designed specifically for children and teens. Our musical theatre classes aim to foster creativity and build confidence in young performers. Through engaging projects, our young performers explore various roles in musical theatre, collaborate with peers, and celebrate their unique talents.
In the world of musical theatre, every child has a chance to shine on their own version of 'centre stage', showcasing their individuality and creativity.
We recognise that singing can be intimidating for some children. That's why our classes emphasise group singing, which helps build confidence and camaraderie. Solo performances are always optional! Our singing projects begin with essential skills in breath control, clarity, and projection, empowering young people to express themselves vocally.
Our musical theatre projects cater to all young performers, whether they are seasoned singers or just beginning to find their voices.
Regardless of their dance experience, our talented teachers ensure that every child feels comfortable and confident while learning choreography. We focus on individual strengths and create a safe, inclusive environment where kids can tackle fun movement challenges, even if they stumble along the way!
Young performers will showcase their dance skills in regular performances for parents and caregivers, starting with fundamental steps and exploring a variety of dance styles.
Acting is the cornerstone of every PQA class. In our musical theatre classes, we emphasise storytelling and character development through movement and song. Our projects are designed to be gender-neutral, allowing young actors to embody any character they choose. Learning to portray different stories not only enhances their acting skills but also helps them express their own narratives.
When it comes to performing, we celebrate the fact that centre-stage looks different for everyone.
Our specially crafted projects shine a spotlight on the various roles in musical theatre and teach your child how support their own and their peer’s individual strengths. From backstage, to the ensemble and the super swing, the special effects team and everyone in between. Our performance opportunities give everyone the chance to find their own spotlight.
