From stand-up to Shakespeare

Our Comedy & Drama classes cover a wide range of acting techniques and physical theatre. Children and young people get to explore plays and work with scripts suitable for their age group. They also create their own improvised drama in a fun environment, led by our inspiring teachers, many of whom are professional actors and industry professionals.

Our comedy classes and projects offer something new and different, writing and performing sketches or stand up comedy.

In our children's' acting classes they explore everything from script work to devising, stand-up to Shakespeare, improvisation to immersive productions.

Build Confidence Through Performing Arts Training

We are passionate about the power of student-led work. We foster exploration, collaboration and curiosity. Not only do these help young people become better performers, they are skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Making and devising theatre is a vital and special part of our drama school offering. Students are given the space to explore their own thoughts, opinions, and voices as well as working from scripts. Comedy & Drama is all about building social skills as well as technical skills.

More Than Acting Classes

More Than Acting Classes

Theatre lessons include students learning more about stage craft and the process of putting on a play. Our drama classes are than memorising lines, developing the use of costume and props to using light and sound to enhance a performance.

Older children and teens also learn how to direct their peers, building communication skills, negotiation and leadership which they will carry with them for life.

Main Academy also includes classes in Film & Television and Musical Theatre.
