At PQA, we’re proud to do things a little differently. Since 2007, we’ve been offering a diverse range of classes in Film and Television, Comedy and Drama, and Musical Theatre for our Main Academy students (ages 6-18).

Our Poppets classes are designed for 4-6-year-olds, offering a fun and engaging introduction to singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling. These early years classes spark creativity, nurture confidence, and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of the performing arts.

A Unique Approach to Performing Arts Education

A Unique Approach to Performing Arts Education

Our unique approach combines creativity with practical experience, allowing young people to try more, discover more, and develop valuable life and industry skills.

We also take pride in our student-led ‘Project-Based Learning,’ where students learn through doing. Our distinctive learning skills framework encourages hands-on exploration of topics, themes, and genres, putting young people first and ensuring they gain both performance skills and personal growth.

Building Self-Belief Through Performing Arts

At PQA, our mission is to build children’s self-belief through the power of performing arts. Our classes provide a safe and encouraging environment where students feel free to express themselves, embrace new challenges, and celebrate their individuality. Whether through acting, singing, or filmmaking, students grow in self-belief while developing valuable communication and interpersonal skills.

Inspiring Creativity and Curiosity

Inspiring Creativity and Curiosity

We champion creativity and curiosity, encouraging students to think big, explore new ideas, and express their unique perspectives. From improvisation and scriptwriting to character development and film production, our activities spark imagination and foster artistic growth.

Celebrating the Individual

Every student at PQA is unique, and we believe their individuality is their greatest strength. Our inclusive classes celebrate diverse personalities and talents, ensuring each student feels valued and supported on their creative journey. We provide regular feedback through informal discussions and progress reports, helping students build confidence and refine their skills. These moments showcase their achievements while fostering personal growth in creativity, communication, and performance.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Collaboration and Teamwork

Collaboration is a cornerstone of the performing arts, and our classes teach students how to work together effectively. Whether it’s rehearsing for a performance, filming a short movie, or brainstorming ideas for a group project, students learn the value of teamwork and mutual support—skills that will benefit them both on and off the stage.

Sharing and Showcasing Work

Every project at PQA culminates in an opportunity to share work, whether through in-academy performances, local events, or digital screenings. These "showings of work" celebrate students’ progress and provide valuable feedback, helping them reflect on their achievements and grow as performers.

How We Support Every Student

How We Support Every Student

Our Principals and teaching teams are dedicated to nurturing each student’s potential. By tailoring projects and providing personalised feedback, we ensure every young person feels supported and inspired to reach their goals—whether they dream of a career in the performing arts or simply want to have fun, make friends, and build new skills.
