Alexander Rowles

Alexander graduated from Bird College in 2021 with a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre. Prior to training, Alexander performed professionally in UK tour productions such as Oliver, The King & I & Matthew Bourne’s Lord of the Flies at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. Whilst training, Alexander was a dancer for the Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again press release, and played the roles of Indio in a workshop of West Side Story (Newport, Wales) and Francis Lockwood in Betty Blue Eyes. Since graduating, he has begun working in TV/Film as a regular stunt double/stand-in for Joe Locke in Heartstopper & a movement artist in projects for Universal & Apple TV. Alexander has taught for seven years and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of young performers. Performing arts teaches so many life skills that he hopes his pupils can use in whatever path they choose in the future.

Amy Squires

Amy has a background in both theatre and working with children. She has a BA Hons degree in performing arts, during her studies she performed in several youth theatre products alongside some extras work in film and TV. After graduating she worked as a specialist LSA whilst working for Wycombe Swan Youth theatre on shows ranging from legally blonde to Dr Doolittle, working as props designer, chaperone and ASM. She was also assistant producer for Wycombe swan youth theatre’s production of Singing in the rain. She currently works as a Therapeutic Support Worker, working with children with specialist needs alongside keeping her hand in singing, dancing and props making.

Jessica O'Callaghan

I have always loved theatre and have been performing since the age of 6. I started in dance shows and pantomimes in the local area and that’s when I fell in love with acting and performing on stage. I have continued to perform in shows across Warwickshire such as High School Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, ELF: the musical, Nice Work if you can get it and many more. I currently study BA Musical Theatre at MPAA and have previously studied Musical Theatre at Stratford-Upon-Avon College. I have a passion for sharing my skills and training to everyone at PQA to help them progress and hopefully fall in love with this industry as much as I have.

Marcus Thomas

Marcus completed the NFTS Directing Fiction MA course in 2021 and his films have since been screened and won awards at several BAFTA and Oscar Qualifying film festivals. His horror/thriller The Retreat released online via Short of the Week and Alter, and his Graduation film Caterpillar won Best Student Film at Norwich Film Festival and an RTS Award. Upon graduating Marcus was selected for an elite 16month mentorship scheme with WarnerMedia where he shadowed the Showrunners & Directors on HBOs House of the Dragon, finishing in July 2022. Since then Marcus has co-created The Directors’ Take Podcast which aims to demystify the pathway to becoming a working director and has just completed his next project titled SPACE PLUG in partnership with Disney x NFTS, which will be premiering at BFI London Film Festival 2023.

Megan Barr

Megan has recently graduated from the University of Winchester with a degree in Drama. While studying, she assisted film production students in the development of their short films, as well as running a KS3 after school drama club as part of a placement. Since graduating, Megan has pursued various acting opportunities, including extra work in films as well as theme park acting work for Thorpe Park (seasonal and Fright Nights) and Chessington’s Christmas event. She is hoping to pursue a Master’s degree in post-production editing/ cinematography.

Tegan Browne Winter

Tegan is currently studying Dance: Urban Practice at the University of East London. She regularly performed with Boy Blue, the UK's most prominent street dance and hip hop performance company. Her performance credits include Dancers Delight and Breaking Convention. Tegan first joined the PQA family as a student at PQA Watford, during her time at the academy she performed at the West End’s Her Majesty’s Theatre, had her film work showcased at VUE Watford and featured in the Academy’s 5th Birthday Gala. She joined PQA as a Team Member in September 2019, working with students in Poppets and Musical Theatre.
