PQA Putney provides top-quality performing arts training for children and teenagers aged 6–18, welcoming students from the Putney, Barnes, Roehampton, Wandsworth and surrounding areas.
Led by Principal Aidan, who brings over a decade of experience across professional performance, directing and performing arts education, our Saturday Academy gives young people the opportunity to develop their creativity, confidence and performance skills in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment.
Every Saturday morning students get to explore our three unique modules:
Film and Television: learning skills for being both behind and in front of the camera.
Musical Theatre: all singing, all dancing, all acting fun.
Comedy & Drama: the art of creating theatre in different ways, from devising, to script work, to Shakespeare and improvisation.
Based at Ark Putney Academy, we’re ideally located for families in and around the SW13 and SW15 areas, and just a short walk from bustling Putney High Street, with plenty of cafés, shops and places to explore while your young person is enjoying their Saturday at PQA.
Whether they dream of the stage, spend all day drafting story ideas or simply want to try something new, PQA Putney has something for everyone.
Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose - Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. In addition to the exciting opportunities available at PQA, we also empower children to delve into other creative aspects of the performing arts industry. Growing up, my local weekend performing arts academy became far more than just somewhere to sing, dance and act. It became my safe space. It was where I discovered my confidence, found lifelong friendships and realised that a career in the performing arts was possible. That experience has stayed with me throughout my life. It’s one of the many reasons I’m so passionate about creating the same sense of belonging for every young person who walks through the doors of PQA Putney.
