Our weekend acting classes in Newcastle are the perfect way to introduce your child to the world of performing arts & help develop their skills. But we’re more than acting! Each session also includes musical theatre and filmmaking classes.

We have excellent facilities at our academy in Newcastle, including drama studios, a large dance studio for our Musical Theatre classes and teaching spaces for Film & TV.


Our teaching staff are all dedicated teaching professionals with extensive experience in the fields of theatre, TV, and film. The team is dedicated to providing first-class, action-packed sessions that are lots of fun. We deliver Musical Theatre, Comedy & Drama, Film & Television classes and a Poppets class for the younger children.

free session:
We welcome children and teens to try our performing arts classes by attending a full session at no charge. Come along and discover what makes PQA so unique, meet the team and join in the fun!

Your academy Principal will let you know how to become a member after your free session. Your child’s place is held for a few days after your session, giving you time to decide if PQA is the right choice for your child.

Amy Ashley

Amy has always had a passion for performing arts from a young age. As a child performer she was involved in musical theatre and was cast in shows such as Annie and the Mikado. Amy went on to gain a grade A in Performing Arts at GCSE and A-Level. She then continued her studies in Musical Theatre at Newcastle College.
