Welcome to PQA Chichester, where young people aged 4-18 from Chichester and surrounding areas, including West Wittering, Thorney Island, Lavant, Woodgate, and Berstead, come to discover their amazing self! Located at Chichester Free School, our weekend academy offers inspiring classes in musical theatre (singing, dancing & acting), comedy, drama and filmmaking. Led by Principal Katy Eyre and a team of industry professionals, PQA Chichester creates a supportive environment for young people to explore acting, singing, dancing, and filmmaking. Join us and be part of a creative community where skills grow, confidence shines, and friendships are made on every artistic adventure!
At PQA Chichester, each young person’s journey begins in a safe, welcoming environment where creativity is celebrated, and every student is encouraged to explore freely. From the first class, children are given the freedom to express themselves, embracing mistakes as essential stepping stones in the learning process. Whether they’re performing on stage, working behind the scenes, or diving into film production, students discover their potential, gaining both confidence and skills.
Under the guidance of Principal Katy, who believes that performing arts has a place in everyone’s heart, students are inspired to grow personally and artistically. Katy sees the arts as a means to empower and educate, creating well-rounded individuals prepared for any path they choose. Whether students seek a confidence boost or aspire to a professional career in acting, PQA Chichester provides a supportive, nurturing environment to help them be their best, be themselves, and be amazing.
Alistair is passionate about young people having access to the performing arts and is convinced that the arts can have a positive effect on young people. Alistair says he "can't wait to come home and get started at PQA Colchester. I am excited for you to meet our team, all of whom are professionally trained and will deliver relevant and contemporary training to all of our students."
