Amber Dye

Amber has been involved in the industry since the age of 8 after seeing her first musical, Joseph. She took numerous opportunities at school and with Amdram companies before joining a stage school at the age of 14; there she achieved qualifications in ballet, tap, modern, jazz and lyrical. Amber also took private drama lessons, achieving Gold Medal status with LAMDA. Since then she has performed in many, many shows, including dancing in the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, and has Directed and Choreographed more than 50 plays and musicals.

Blessing Egbe

A screen writing Certificate from Cape Town's City Varsity Multimedia School, and a Master's degree in film with Practice from the University of Kent. She is a voting member of the Academy of Motion and Sciences (The Oscars) and has 17 years of experience in the film industry. Blessing has 19 Movies/ Series titles to her credit, including the popular Lekki Wives Series, The Women, Chidinma, Iquo's journal, Coat of Alms, and many others. With a level 3 award in education and training, Blessing teaches practical Film & TV courses to young people and volunteers with Spectrum community Arts, a non-profit organisation which provides preforming arts to people with disabilities and additional needs. Blessing aims at making multilayered films that will cut across borders and tell stories that showcase people and cultural diversity. The New Housekeeper movie, shot in the UK and Nigeria in 2023, is the first of many slated projects.

Caitlin Bunce

Caitlin is delighted to be back at PQA. From previously being a student at PQA Aylesbury to being a member of staff she is thrilled to be joining us again. Caitlin has a wide range of experience starting with her Level 4 in Acting for Stage, Screen and Digital Media from Performers College to her Foundation award from BADC in Stage Combat for Unarmed and Single Sword. She has A Levels and BTECs in Film Studies, Drama and Creative Media Production. As well as this Caitlin has a variety of qualifications in singing as has been training with vocal coaches and choirs since the age of 4. Caitlin is currently a Dancer and Performer at Gullivers Theme Parks and is well versed in all aspects of the creative arts. Caitlin is also trained in technical theatre and has been working on the rehearsals of the touring production of Burlesque the Musical as well as Cabarets at The Rep Theatre in Birmingham.

Jason Middleton

Jemma Darvill

I have been involved in amateur dramatics since the age of 11 and have carried on enjoying my time on stage, performing in shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell to name but a few and I love the atmosphere and buzz that goes with it. I managed a junior drama group for a few years, which I thoroughly enjoyed, seeing the children growing in confidence and able to express themselves without feeling "silly"! I am also a regular member of The Blend Choir which I absolutely love and it has given me confidence with my singing ability. I have assisted Kym on many occasions with her academy, including chaperoning the children at their recent West End production of Fright Night which was not only a fantastic opportunity for them, but for me too so when Kym said she was looking for a poppets assistant I jumped at the chance. I can't wait to work at PQA Aylesbury as it has such a professional yet friendly atmosphere and all the children are so welcoming.

Kat Beatty

I started dance classes from a very young age, learning ballet, tap, modern and acrobatics. I took many exams in RAD, ISTD and UTD. I was lucky enough to dance in a variety of different competitions, including representing the UK in America and Japan as well as performing in many stage shows organised by the dance schools I attended in Norwich. I took up drama when I was 10 and regularly attended classes, completed exams and entered competitions. I graduated from Chichester University College in August 2000 with a BA (Hons) Dance and Education with Qualified Teacher Status. Since becoming a primary teacher I have organised many performances with the after school classes that I ran in gymnastics, dance and recorders. I have also arranged, in collaboration with the classes that I have taught, assemblies that involve aspects of dance, drama, singing and movement. I love teaching children and feel really lucky to be able to teach all the things I love to do myself during poppets sessions. I know that my teaching experience enables me to bring out the best in the children I work with at poppets and I enjoy nurturing their creativity and imagination. I also take pleasure in passing on my singing, drama and dancing expertise and sharing my enthusiasm for all areas of the creative arts.

Katie Lusby

Katie first discovered her passion for performing at the age of seven, where she appeared in several professional pantomimes at Aylesbury Civic Centre with Arthur Bostrom, Sue Holderness and Linda Robson to name a few. She pursued her interest by taking up singing and dance lessons and completing exams. Whilst at school, she took part in any performances she could, whilst also running her own Drama club for the younger students. Katie furthered her education by studying for a BA Hons degree in Drama in the Community at Bishop Grosseteste, Lincoln. She took up placements in schools, residential homes and an adolescent mental health unit. She was lucky enough to perform at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a piece of Street Theatre she created with fellow students, and she led the university's Samba Band to close the festival. After graduating, Katie became a Teaching assistant in a local school where she had the opportunity to apply her drama skills when working with the students. She loves going to the theatre to watch dramas, musicals and anything a little bit different. Katie is thrilled to join PQA and share her enjoyment with the members. She hopes the students will enjoy learning as much as she enjoys teaching!

Maisie Rawlings

I am delighted to be a team member for PQA and I particularly enjoy working with the staff as well as the children, working towards some amazing performances. It is so exciting to see how much the children improve week on week and I look forward to assisting to help encourage this further. I had dance classes from a young age, and later attended a musical theatre school and so I share the same passion for performing and being creative in this way. During sixth form I was a “dance leader”, thus having the responsibility to plan and organise the school’s summer show - which was musical theatre themed- including songs from “La La Land”, “Mamma Mia” and “High School Musical”. I recently completed A levels in Biology, Psychology and History and I am currently studying Children’s nursing at Oxford Brookes University this year.

Skye Jones

I have been involved in all kinds of theatre from a very young age, having seen my first show - The Wizard of Oz at 4 years old. Since the age of 7 I have performed in countless musicals and plays, including Our House, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Legally Blonde, Top Girls and many pantomimes at The Court Theatre in Tring. I completed my A level in Drama, Media and Film at Tring school and won the Drama Award in 2022 for my contributions to the Drama Department whilst I was there. I have completed my Grade 8 LAMDA Singing and love to work with the children to help them reach their potential! Currently working in Care, I love to encourage and promote independence with all age groups. Working at PQA, it is such a lovely feeling getting to see the children grow and understand their overflowing talent every week.
