PQA Wolverhampton students recently took part in the filming of a Bollywood series which has just been released on Sony LIV TV.
All involved had a fantastic time, meeting the cast and filming their scenes and are very excited to see themselves on the screen.
“The brief was very specific so we were able to identify around 14 students and in conversation with the director we quickly whittled that down to the 10 needed,”
“The students gathered one morning in March and had a fabulous time, they were treated brilliantly both on set and off. I attended with one of our teachers to ensure that everything was running well and the team went above and beyond to look after our students and give them an exciting day, even though it was cold and wet”.
said Principal Julian.
The show is called Chamak. After returning to Punjab from Canada, an aspiring young rapper learns that his father, a legendary singer, was shot dead during a performance along with his mother. He steers his way through the underbelly of the Punjab music industry, politics and business feuds with a fierce determination to unmask his parents’ killer. The power-packed musical thriller stars Paramvir Singh Cheema, Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Gippy Grewal, Mohit Malik and Mukesh Chhabra.
