Have you ever dropped your child off at PQA and wondered, What actually happens in those classes? Is it just singing, acting, and camera work or is there something more?

Well, we’ve created something very special to show you exactly that.

We’re beyond excited to introduce My PQA Journey. Our brand-new publication that gives families a true insight into the world of PQA, from the very first day your child walks through our doors to the moment they’re standing proud on stage, behind the camera, or simply bursting with new-found confidence.

So, What Is My PQA Journey?

My PQA Journey is styled like a student’s diary and follows a character called Skye as they progress through our three colour groups: Green, Blue, and Red. Discovering new skills, building confidence, and learning what it means to be a part of PQA.

Whether your child dreams of the West End, wants to create movies, loves to perform, or just wants to make friends, and to unleash their creativity. My PQA Journey is a fun, friendly guide to everything we offer and clearly shows what your child will gain along the way.

Why Did We Create My PQA Journey?

We realised we didn’t have anything that truly captured the heart of what we do. Sure, we talk a lot about our amazing Musical Theatre, Comedy & Drama, and Film & TV classes, but we didn’t have something that pulled it all together in one place.

And we wanted to do more than just explain it. We wanted to celebrate it.

Because PQA isn’t just about learning lines and rehearsing scenes. It’s about the journey, the real growth that happens every week. The friendships formed, the lightbulb moments, the spark of creativity and confidence that starts to shine.

What Are the Colour Groups?

If you’ve ever felt a bit unsure about what happens in each PQA colour group, you’re not alone! That’s exactly why Skye is here to guide you.

  •  Green Group (Ages 6 - 9): Our youngest performers in our Main Academy learn to tell stories, play creatively, and work together as a team. This is where confidence is born!
  •  Blue Group (Ages 10 - 12): Students start developing technical skills, build their stage and screen presence, and begin contributing their own ideas and creativity.
  •  Red Group (Ages 13 -18): Our oldest students become true all-rounders, confident performers, public speakers, filmmakers, and team leaders. They’re ready for anything, on or off the stage.

Real Stories from Real Young People at Our Academies

Although Skye is a fictional character, their story is based on real experiences from our students across the country. Every challenge, every triumph, and every magical moment comes straight from the incredible journeys our young people go on each week.

That’s what makes this publication so special. It’s not just about what we teach; it’s about bringing out the creativity and self-belief in every child.

A Special Gift For Every Student

Every enrolled student in our main academy (ages 6–18) will receive their very own copy of My PQA Journey and new students will receive the publication alongside their branded t-shirt. The publication was beautifully illustrated by the talented Saskia Hanssen from KingBee Animation and thoughtfully brought to life by our incredibly talented students, teachers, Principals, and HQ team.

And for our youngest group of budding performers, our Poppets. We’ve got something exciting in the works: Poppets and Me, a playful and age-appropriate version of My PQA Journey to introduce both you and your little one to the joy of PQA.

Whether your child is just starting out or has grown and blossomed within PQA for a few years, My PQA Journey is here to guide them, inspire them, and remind them to ‘Be yourself. Be amazing!'
